This steam punk spider is a culmination of wire coiling, wrapping, sculpting and some great imagination on the part of wire artist Daniel Proulx. All of his work is incredible; this is absolutely mind blowing though!
Found a free tutorial at Studio Heath for a cage pendant that I wanted to share with everyone. I actually used this tutorial to make a precious set of earrings. It really is easy and quick to whip up and it still has an elegant look to it.
These earrings prove my point that your wire work doesn’t have to be elaborate to be beautiful. A georgeous stone hung on wire from an earwire can be simple and very attractive.
Wire wrapping can be as simple as you want and beginners can have fun creating something easy and beautiful, like this bracelet.
Found these great pics from zeafonso at sxc.hu – several wire techniques are used, I would say they are intermediate skill level, but they give a very nice look mixed with the stones.
